MYOELECTRIC SIGNAL PATTERN RECOGNITION

picture Design and development of a FPGA based system for myoelectric signals pattern recognision, based on neural networks. "Research regarding the implementation of a neural network used to process signals generated by the muscular and nervous system." CNCSIS Contract No. 171/02.10.2007, TD-11.

Human Activity Recognition (HAR) and Physiological Parameters Monitoring Systems

picture Starting from the initial challenge on making an assistance robot for persons with disabilities, the purpose of this research was to develop a theoretical framework for HAR and health monitoring, design and implementation of specific data acquisition systems using a minimum number of wearable motion sensors. Data is used in an integrated supervised system with assistance robot. The main objectives
  • Design and implementation of data acquisition systems for HAR, using wearable acceleration sensors and inertial sensors.
  • Integrating sensors for health monitoring in data acquisition systems and correlate data from two types of sensors.
  • Design of a gesture recognition system using acceleration sensors.
  • Design of realt-time HAR system using different types of inertial sensors.
